Hi, I'm Makenna Franklyn.

I am an equine photographer from the Northern Virginia area. I have been taking photographs since the 9th grade, but didn't start taking equine pictures until college where I was a part of my equine program.

I'm a graduate of Bridgewater College with a degree in psychology and a minor in equine studies. Equine photography has become a quick passion of mine over the years. When I graduated college, I knew I wanted to get my photography business up and running.

While I mainly focus on the relationship between the horse and its owner, I also focus on canine photography. With 1 dog of my own, I know that the bond between a dog and its owner is also just as strong!

My main focus with my photography is to create images that show the bond between an owner and their animal(s).
